Rethinking The Mercury News

9 April 2008 at 12:23 am (Events, Media, Social Networks) (, )

On 19 April, the San Jose Mercury News is inviting the South Bay community to its first CopyCamp, an “unconference” that “brings community members into the newsroom to meet and discuss important issues with local journalists.”  Via Twitter.

Examples of “unconferences” include Seattle’s MindCamp as well as BarCamp, PodCamp and RootsCamp. These “unconferences” are self-organizing, that is, the participants determine conference sessions. It’s the first task after registration! Learn more about CopyCamps.
